Meet Dr. Allegretti

Let Me Introduce Myself….

Dr. Scott A. Allegretti

Where did it all begin?  My first taste for dentistry as a career began in my High School days taking on a part time Dental Assistant position in Providence Rhode Island.

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Boston College and my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree was earned from The Medical College of Virginia.

After graduating Dental School, I joined a General Private Practice in Richmond Virginia as an Associate.  I also became a Part Time Faculty member at the Medical College of Virginia instructing and educating in the departments of Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics Dentistry, and Dental Anatomy.

In 1990 I made the voluntary decision to join the United States Navy as a Commissioned Dental Officer to serve my country and   benefit from advanced Dental Training.   During my Navy Dental Career, I received two Navy Achievement Medals for my outstanding service and advanced my military ranking to Lieutenant Commander.   After serving   5 years of active military service, I voluntary retired from the Navy with Honors and began my Private Practice in Springfield Virginia, a suburb of Washington DC.

Over the past three decades, I have advanced my education with cutting edge dental treatments and services. My training consists of all aspects of dentistry including Invisalign Orthodontics, Implantology, CEREC Robotic Computerized Crown Fabrication, Facial Esthetics (Botox and Dermal Fillers), Facial Rejuvenation Lasers, Collagen Induction Lasers, Migraine Pain Relief, Sedation Dentistry, and Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry.

Over the course of my career I have been awarded many academic achievements but my most cherished achievements have been a Fellowship In the Academy of General Dentistry ( a prestigious appointment held only by 10% of all general dentists), a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Member of The American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

In 2008, I decided to relocate back to New England.   I created Provincetown Dental Arts now known as Dental and Facial Technologies of Provincetown and have brought my successful formula of Excellence, Technology, and Quality to the Outer Cape As an active proponent of the Arts, Community Non-Profits, Sports, and Health, I proudly support local art and cultural Programs, Artists, Theater Programs, and various sport programs in the community. I enjoy running, Physical Fitness, Art, Theater, and Travel while sharing my blessed life with my loving partner Brett since 1992.
